New Delhi: Amid heavy passenger traffic due to Holi, where common people are finding it difficult to get confirmed train tickets, some officials want to misuse their power travel without tickets. Recently, a video of an argument between a constable of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and a Travelling Ticket Inspector (TTE)) after the former’s wife was found travelling in the AC compartment without a valid ticket.

The Incident reportedly took place onboard the New Delhi-Sogaria Express on March 10. Soon the video of the heated argument between the two officials went viral on social media. The argument reportedly broke out after the TTE rejected the cop’s request to allow his wife to travel in the AC compartment on a sleeper ticket.

In the video, constable MK Meena of GRP, New Delhi could be seen asking the TTE not to make the video and even threatened him with dire consequences. The cop even told the railway official that he would take away his phone. When the cop allegedly threatened the TTE, the railway official could be heard saying that he also had many IPS officers in his family. The cop told him to tell those IPS officers that he was the owner of the train.

A complaint has been submitted to senior DCM demanding by Chief Ticket Examiner Rakesh Kumar Pippal against Meena, reported ETV Bharat. “The staff of New Delhi-Sogaria Express has reported the incident and appropriate action will be taken after investigation,” Saurabh Jain, Senior DCM, Kota Railway Division said as quoted by the media house.

The incident took place in the B-1 coach of the train. In the complaint, Pippal alleged that the constable had made her wife sit in the AC coach. She was travelling to Gangapur. The woman was later sent to the sleeper coach and fine of Rs 530 was collected from her, Pippal stated in the complaint.
