Rashami Desai shared a well-known bittersweet equation with the late actor Sidharth Shukla inside the Bigg Boss 13 house. The duo, who previously worked together in the TV show Dil Se Dil Tak, often engaged in major arguments. While they initially shared a close bond, their relationship soured during Bigg Boss 13. They were also rumored to be in a relationship, but both consistently denied it.
Appearing on Bharti Singh’s podcast, Rashami talked about her bond with Shukla, explaining that they shared a unique experience while working together. However, she stated that viewers saw them in a different light on Bigg Boss, as their past history led to frequent fights.
“It had just gotten very bitter, in the 1.5 to 2 years that we worked together, there had been so many differences that we would not speak to each other. We didn’t talk to each other for 9 months, our differences were so strong, that we could not see each other’s faces. But when we worked, both of us were very professional,” she added.
Rashami further called Sidharth a ‘wonderful’ and ‘knowledgeable’ co-actor, who had a good heart too.
The actress revealed that during a tough time in 2018, Sidharth was aware of what she was going through. As a result, during the family week on Bigg Boss, he offered her water, showing his understanding of her situation. “We would communicate through our eyes, it was a very unsaid equation between us which I also respected. My niece used to love him and would always go to meet him first on the set, he would also play with her. He used to love kids. Even though there were differences between us, I wouldn’t stop them from interacting,” said Desai.
“Professionally we have had our issues, personally also we had a history that I didn’t speak about back then and neither will I talk about it now. I respect that, and now that he isn’t around, it also doesn’t make sense. Just because we didn’t get along does not mean he was a bad person, there was a phase in my life where I couldn’t do anything,” concluded Desai.
