Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal was spotted at Mumbai’s iconic Babulnath Temple, as he offered prayers following the massive success of his latest film, Chhaava. The historical drama has registered the biggest opening weekend of Vicky’s career, raking in an impressive Rs 116 crore at the box office.

Several pictures and videos of Vicky’s temple visit have surfaced on social media, showing the actor offering prayers amid tight police security. Dressed in a simple beige kurta and wearing a rudraksh mala around his neck, he exuded a spiritual aura.

The visit comes at a crucial time for Vicky, as Chhaava cements his position as a bankable star. The film, which sees him in a larger-than-life role, has resonated strongly with audiences, contributing to its record-breaking numbers.

Chhaava’s box office success

Chhaava has set the box office on fire, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark within just three days of its release on February 14. According to the makers, the film opened to a massive Rs 31 crore, and its numbers only soared higher over the weekend.

On its second day, Chhaava collected Rs 37 crore, and by Sunday, it saw a jump, minting Rs 48.50 crore. With this, the film wrapped up its opening weekend with an impressive total of Rs 116.50 crore.

The historical epic narrates the story of Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and his valiant fight against Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb to uphold Swarajya.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava features Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai Bhosale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb. The film has been produced by Dinesh Vijan and continues to dominate the box office with its storytelling and grand visuals.
