Amroha (Uttar Pradesh), February 16: In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old boy was brutally beaten by a family in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha on suspicion of stealing a mobile phone on Saturday (February 15) evening. The horrific incident was caught on camera and the video of the cruel act is going viral on social media. The video shows that the attackers first tied the youngster to a tree and thrashed him with slaps and sticks. When that did not satisfy them, they took him inside a room, tied him to a ceiling fan and continued the beating.
Details About The Incident
The incident took place in a village under the jurisdiction of the Saidangali Police Station. The boy was accused of stealing a mobile phone and based on this suspicion, some villagers caught him on Saturday (February 15) evening. Initially, he was tied to a tree and beaten mercilessly. Later, the accused took him inside a room, hung him from a ceiling fan and continued to assault him.
Police Action After Video Goes Viral
A video of the incident was recorded and shared on social media, where it quickly went viral. As soon as the police saw the footage, they took immediate action to investigate the case and identify the culprits.
Legal Proceedings and Investigation
Following a complaint from the boy’s father, the police registered a case against four people who have been identified as Saleem, Bhure, Intzar and Nabi Waris. Police said that the accused had taken the law into their own hands and assaulted the minor.
The police further said, “On the basis of the complaint received in the case, a case has been registered under relevant sections and legal action has been taken by arresting two accused. Further legal action is underway.”
