Who doesn’t love a signature scent that lingers all day? If your perfume seems to disappear too quickly, you might be missing a few key tricks. Here are 6 simple application tips to help your fragrance last longer:
Moisturise First: Perfume lasts longer on well-hydrated skin. Apply an unscented lotion or petroleum jelly to your pulse points before going in with your fragrance
Apply To Pulse Points: It stays longer when applied to warm areas like your wrists, neck, and behind your ears. These spots emit heat, helping the fragrance to diffuse throughout the day
Spray On Clothes & Hair: Fragrance lingers longer on fabrics and hair. Lightly spritz your scarf or jacket, and apply to hair from a distance. Note that, alcohol in perfumes can dry out hair, so don’t overdo it
Layer Your Scent: Use matching scented lotions, oils, and body washes to create a fragrance base. Layering similar notes helps intensify the perfume and makes it last all day. For instance, applying vanilla body cream with vanilla-based perfume
Don’t Over-Spray: Less is more! Two to three spritzes are enough if applied to the right spots. Overdoing it can overwhelm others and shorten the fragrance’s lifespan
Store Perfume Correctly: Keep your fragrances away from direct sunlight and heat, which can break down the oils. Store them in a cool, dark place such as a bedroom drawer or vanity box
