Maharashtra: A massive fire broke out in an MSRTC bus in Maharashtra’s Dharashiv, causing panic among passengers who had to jump out of windows to save themselves.

The driver restarted the vehicle when he noticed smoke coming from the cabin. He then stopped the bus to pick up passengers and started dropping them off on the spot. The incident happened at around 9:45 AM when a depot bus from Tuljapur left Basavakalyan at 6:00 AM.

Acting swiftly, he instructed all passengers to evacuate. Moments later, flames engulfed the cabin, triggering chaos among the passengers as they rushed to exit, with some even jumping out of the windows.

Fortunately, everyone managed to escape safely. The fire brigade from Lokmangal Sugar Factory responded promptly and brought the fire under control. A replacement bus was arranged to transport the passengers to Tuljapur.

Massive Fire Broke Out At Oshiwara Furniture Market

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning a massive fire broke out in Mumbai’s Oshiwara Market. Around 100 furniture and other wooden items were affected, and around 350 to 400 units were due to fire.

The black smog covered the locality and residents started to panic. The fire occurred due to cylinder blasts. The fire was declared level II (major) at 11:46 pm.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) said that at least 12 to 15 residents were rescued from the fire spot. No injuries were reported in the incident. At least eight fire engines and 10 water tankers were deployed on the spot. The blaze was doused around 6 pm.
