Itel has launched a new budget smartphone in India called the Itel A100. The phone comes as a successor to the Itel A90 that was introduced last year. It claims to offer durability and everyday features.
The most notable feature of Itel A100 is its military-grade durability certification. The phone meets the MIL-STD-810H standard, which is rarely seen in this price segment.
The Itel A100 features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display offers up to 480 nits of typical brightness, which should be enough for indoor and basic outdoor use.
The phone runs Android 15 Go Edition, which is optimized for entry-level hardware. It also includes a Dynamic Bar that shows live alerts such as battery status, calls, and notifications without interrupting what you are doing on the screen.
It packs a UNISOC T7100 processor and is available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB. It also has 64GB of storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
The Itel A100 offers an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera
It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options ar Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W charging through a USB Type-C port.
The Itel A100 is priced at Rs. 6,799 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the 4GB RAM model costs Rs. 7,499. It is available through retail stores across India. As an added benefit, Itel is offering a free screen replacement within the first 100 days, which further strengthens its value for budget buyers.
