Asus has today launched its latest flagship smartphone Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra. The phone has specifications similar to the ROG Phone 9 series that was launched last year.

ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra measures 163.8 x 77.0 x 8.9mm and weighs 220g. The phone is also Dust and water-resistant with an IP68 rating. The smartphone comes in Ebony black, Sakura white and Sage green colors

Zenfone 12 Ultra features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and up to 144Hz refresh rate for gaming. The display supports 10-bit HDR and up to 2500 nits peak brightness. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

The phone packs an Octa-Core Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm SoC with Adreno 830 GPU. It has 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB (UFS 4.0) storage.

Zenfone 12 Ultra runs Android 15 with Zen UI out of the box. The phone also has AI features to make the software experience even better. It includes an on-device Llama 3 8B model from Meta. Notable AI features include AI Call Translator 2.0 offering real-time voice translation, and AI Transcript 2.0 for recorder offering multi-speaker identification, summarization, and translation. It can also summarize articles and documents.

The rear camera setup includes 50 megapixels primary camera with a Sony LYTIA 700 sensor and 6-axis Gimbal stabilization. It also has 13 megapixels 120° ultra-wide camera and 32 megapixels 3x telephoto camera with OIS. For selfies, the phone has 32 megapixels front camera.

Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and NFC. The smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and features Dirac Virtuo for Headphone technology. It also includes multi-magnet stereo speakers.

It packs a 5500mAh battery with 65W Hyper charge fast charging. It promises to charge the battery from 0% to 100% in 39 minutes. The phone also supports Quick Charge 5.0 and 15W Qi wireless charging.

. The band model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 1100 Euros. This time, the phone is not heading to the US and I also don’t think it will be coming to India.
