Operation Aaghat 3.0: A major crackdown has begun in Delhi before the New Year where the Delhi Police is trying to tightened its grip on criminals, carrying out a major crackdown. The South-East District of the police has successfully carried out ‘Operation Aaghat 3.0,’ taking strict action against crime. Under this operation, 285 accused involved in various criminal cases were arrested. This has achieved significant success in strengthening law and order in the capital before the New Year. According to police officials, this operation was launched with the aim of curbing criminals and rooting out anti-social elements.

According to Delhi Police, during the operation, police recovered a large quantity of illegal material. A total of 21 country-made pistols, 20 live cartridges, and 27 knives were seized, which will prove helpful in preventing illegal arms trafficking and use. Furthermore, in a crackdown on narcotics, 6.01 kilograms of marijuana and 12,258 quarters of illicit liquor were recovered. ₹230,990 in cash was seized from gamblers, demonstrating the crackdown on organized crimes like gambling. The stolen property, including 310 mobile phones, 231 two-wheelers, and one four-wheeler, helped dismantle gangs involved in auto theft and property crimes.

Delhi Police has detained 504 people as part of the crackdown. 116 criminals were also apprehended. In addition, 10 property offenders and 5 auto lifters were arrested, leading to significant recoveries related to thefts. Additionally, 1,306 individuals were rounded up for investigation to effectively control crime and antisocial activities.
