Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has sold more than six million copies worldwide. This marks another strong milestone for the classic RPG collection.

The publisher last shared a sales update in March, when the series had crossed five million units. This means around one million additional copies were sold over the past nine months. These numbers show a steady demand for the remastered versions of the early Final Fantasy games.

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series includes six titles. These are Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI. Each game features updated pixel art, improved soundtracks, and quality-of-life changes, while keeping the original gameplay intact

The series first launched on PC through Steam, as well as on iOS and Android. Final Fantasy I, II, and III rwere eleased on July 28, 2021. Final Fantasy IV followed on September 8, 2021, Final Fantasy V launched on November 10, 2021, and Final Fantasy VI arrived on February 23, 2022.

Square Enix later expanded the release to consoles. All six Pixel Remaster titles launched together on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 19, 2023. More recently, the collection made its way to Xbox Series consoles on September 26, 2024.
