Snapchat has introduced a new video creation tool called Quick Cut. The feature is designed to help users create short, music-synced videos directly inside the app, without going through a long editing process.
Quick Cut lets users select multiple photos or video clips from their Memories or Camera Roll and instantly turns them into a ready-to-share video. The app generates a preview automatically, removing the need to manually arrange clips or switch between different editing screens.
Snapchat has also made Quick Cut easy to discover. Users can start it from Memories, the Camera Roll, or even from another person’s Quick Cut video. In the last case, users can reuse the format and add their own photos or clips, which makes remixing content simple.

Music and effects are a core part of the experience. Quick Cut automatically adds a soundtrack from Snapchat’s Sounds library and syncs it with the selected clips. Users can then customize the video further by choosing different tracks or applying Lenses.
The feature works fully inside Snapchat, from creation to editing and sharing. It builds on other creator tools the company has launched recently, including the Timeline Editor in Director Mode, which offers more precise control over clips.
Quick Cut is currently available on iOS. Snapchat says support for Android and other areas of the app will be added soon.
