New Delhi: Important update for Delhiites! The National Capital may experience heavy traffic jams over the next seven days. To ensure public convenience, the Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for this period. Delhi Police issued this advisory today (19 November) for the period up to 25 November.
As per Delhi Police, a major event is being organized at the Red Fort from today (19 November) to 25 November on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. A large number of people, including several VVIPs, are expected to attend the event.
Here are some of the key details:
- According to the Delhi Traffic Police, the traffic advisory has been issued for 19 November to 25 November.
- During these days, diversions will remain in effect daily from 4 PM to 11 PM.
- During this period, buses and commercial vehicles coming towards Netaji Subhash Marg from Chhata Rail Chowk and Delhi Gate will be diverted from Chhata Rail Chowk/GPO Chowk/Delhi Gate Chowk towards Ring Road.
- Diversions may also be implemented at Chhata Rail Chowk, Shanti Van Chowk, T-Point Subhash Marg, Hanuman Mandir Crossing, Delhi Gate, and GPO Chowk if needed.
- Commuters are advised to avoid Nishad Raj Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, Ring Road (from Rajghat to Chandgi Ram Akhara), Lothian Road, SPM Marg, and Boulevard Road.
- They are also advised to use alternative routes such as Pusta Road, Vikas Marg, Salimgarh Bypass, and Rani Jhansi Road.
It is important to note that the administration has also arranged parking facilities for passengers coming to Chandni Chowk Bazaar and Red Fort. The administration has advised that vehicles should be parked only in the designated parking areas.
