Tirupati: After almost a decade, the District Sessions Court of Andhra Pradesh has given the death penalty to five individuals involved in the case for killing Chittoor Mayor Katari Anuradha and her husband, Katari Mohan. The judgment came on Friday, and the court has given capital punishment to the five accused, who include Chandrasekhar, GS Venkatachalapathi, Jayaprakash Reddy, Manjunath and Venkatesh. The incident dates back to November 2015, when the killing happened in the Chittoor Municipal Corporation office. The court’s decision puts an end to the decade-long trial for the double murder case in Andhra Pradesh.
