He was regarded as the architect of Indian advertising and was behind some of the most iconic and popular campaigns. He was the face of Ogilvy India for over four decades and had a deep understanding of the Indian market and consumers. Piyush Pandey was the brain behind the iconic and catchy advertisements of brands like – Fevicol, Cadbury, and Asian Paints. He had been suffering from an infection. As per reports, Pandey’s last rites will be performed on Saturday.

Pandey was the Chief Creative Officer Worldwide and Executive Chairman India of Ogilvy. He was serving in the advertising industry for more than 40 years.
He joined Ogilvy in 1982. His first project was writing a catchy advertisement for Sunlight Detergent. After six years, he was transferred to the company’s creative department. There he created iconic ads for Fevicol, Cadbury, Asian Paints, Luna Moped, Fortune Oil, and several other brands.
