A 16-year-old goalkeeper Edson Lopes Gama died tragically after being hit by a ball on the chest. A video going viral shows the young keeper during the training falls to the ground in pain immediately after making a stunning save. His family and the local community have been shocked by the tragic loss.
According to a report by The Sun, Gama was rushed to hospital in a car from the town of Maues in the Amazon rainforest. However, the journey from the rural area to the hospital reportedly took 11 hours. Lopes sadly died on his arrival at the hospital on January 5. Another report claimed that the the ball struck the sternum and diaphragm, causing medical complications that led to his death.
The report further stated that Lopes family wore the shirts of his favourite team Gremio as they carried his coffin. His brother Eliomar penned heartfelt not eo n social media stating, “Today, you touched all of Brazil. I never imagined it would be like this. You were a dedicated player and a child who was always happy. My brother, we mourn your loss, but you left us doing what you loved most: playing football,”

While Gama suffered natural death, a top basketball protect was shot in front of his mom in Phladelphia just couple of days back. player Noah Scurry, from Samuel Fels High School, was fatally shot while on his way to school with his mother.
Netizens are stating that the young player was shot dead 24 hours after he released a rap video with joker mask on his face. Scurry was the top scorer at his school on the SAT and a key player on the boys’ basketball team.
