Singrauli district which is popular for its coal reserves, will also witness gold mining in Chakariya Gold Block. The block is located in Chitrangi area. The mining for the yellow metal will be done for the period of five years.
Which Company Has Bagged The Mining Contract?
The plan is to extract a total of 18,356 tonnes (18,356,000 kgs) of the yellow metal from the 23 hectares of gold rich land. The state government has awarded the contract to Garima Natural Private Limited. The company is now eligible to do the mining work for the next five years.
The company will do mining for 5 years
Garima Naturals Private Limited will operate the gold mine for five years. The company has determined the gold content through drilling over the past year.
London Gold Market
The Singrauli Mineral Department will receive revenue from the gold block based on the London Gold Market rate. This will also provide employment to local people. Most of the mining area in this gold mine is government land, while some is private.

The GSI survey estimated the Chakaria Gold Block to contain approximately 35,000 tons of gold ore. The company has drilled and determined the proportions.
