Mumbai: Central Railway in view of passengers’ demand to facilitate convenient travel has decided to augment Solapur-CSMT Mumbai Vande Bharat Express with 4 additional chair car coaches, increasing the train length to 20 coaches as per details given below:
. Train No. 22225 CSMT Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express with effect from 28.08.2025.
. Train No. 22226 Solapur-CSMT Mumbai Vande Bharat Express with effect from 29.08.2025.
Revised Coach Composition:
20 Coaches including
– 2 Executive Chair Cars (EC) with 52 seats each
– 16 Chair Cars (CC) with 78 seats each
– 2 Chair Cars next to the Loco Pilot & Guard Cabin with 44 seats each
Total Seating Capacity – 1440
This upgrade will provide more seating capacity, better convenience and smoother travel for passengers between Mumbai and Solapur. The 4 additional coaches will provide 312 more seats for passengers.
