Bhopal: New revelations and developments are continuously emerging in connection with the case involving former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma. Following the Lokayukta raid, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also registered a case and initiated its investigation. According to reports, the ED has filed a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) against Saurabh Sharma and Chetan Singh Gaud.
Notably, 52 kilograms of gold biscuits were seized from a car during the Lokayukta raid. Since then, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has been working to trace the source of the gold biscuits.

IT Found Crucial Evidence
Officials of the police and the Income Tax department have found some crucial evidence. It is reported that the team raided Saurabh Sharma’s office in Arera E-7 and seized important documents. When the team checked the CCTV footage from the homes in front of the office, they found that the car containing the gold leaving the premises.
Moreover, rumours suggest that Saurabh Sharma’s diary has also been found by the Income Tax department. This diary reportedly contains records of transactions worth over Rs 100 crore in a year. Some records contain names and numbers of RTO officers from 52 districts in Uttar Pradesh.
Over Rs 40 Crore in Silver Seized
In the last three days, three major raids have been conducted in Bhopal. In the biggest raid that took place at the residence of retired RTO constable Saurabh Sharma, Rs 2.5 crore in cash and over Rs 40 crore worth of silver were seized. Furthermore, Rs 3 crore in cash was recovered by the officers from the premises of Trishul Construction and Quality Construction. Cops are now probing every angle of the case.
The Truth Behind Black Money
Originally from Gwalior, Saurabh Sharma secured a job as a constable in the Traffic Department on compassionate grounds after the death of his father. After serving for 12 years, he took voluntary retirement and started real estate and other businesses. During the Lokayukta raid at his residence, an underground locker was found containing silver and important documents.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
