Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a coordinated effort to strengthen traffic management, remove encroachments from roads and ensure smooth public movement a joint operation was conducted on Friday, by the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) traffic police and district administration.

The campaign was carried out under the directives of collector Asheesh Singh and IMC commissioner Shivam Verma.

The operation was led by additional commissioner Rohit Sissoniya, SDM Soni, assistant officer Bablu Kalyan and teams from the traffic department and municipal removal squad. The drive covered both sides of the stretch from Agrasen Square to Tower Square.

During the campaign illegally parked vehicles and obstructive materials were removed from the roadside. A total of one truck of illegal goods was seized. Strict penal action was taken against violators of traffic regulations. A total of 12 four-wheelers and 28 two-wheelers were fined. 

48 two-wheelers were impounded and taken to Mhow Naka traffic police station. A total fine of ₹20,000 was collected.

The campaign aimed to reinforce traffic discipline and sent a clear message that violations will invite strict penalties. Authorities urged citizens to park responsibly and avoid encroachments on public spaces.
