4.0 magnitude earthquake rocks Delhi-NCR, strong tremors felt in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad
New Delhi: An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale struck the Delhi-NCR region in the early hours of Monday at approx 5:35 am. The tremors occurred at a depth of five kilometers. The epicenter was located near Delhi. The strong tremors, which lasted only a few seconds, were strong enough to be felt in residential neighbourhoods, leading to panic among the residents. Several people evacuated their homes as a safety measure. Currently, there are no reports of damage or injuries.
