Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): Eleven workers suffered an electric shock while working at Kanha National Park on Saturday.

The incident occurred when a heavy iron ladder they were shifting accidentally touched a high-tension power line.

The incident took place on Koluwa Road, narrowly avoiding a major accident.

Fortunately, some bystanders acted quickly and safely rescued the workers.

They were immediately taken to the district hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

Doctors have confirmed that all the injured workers are in stable condition and under observation.

The injured workers have been identified as Ramveer (40), Manish (19), Anand Singh (30), Sundaram (18), Dhanpal (24), and Charan Singh (42) from Shankar Colony; Nilesh (30), Motilal (40), and Sumit (17) from Jamakhedi; and Lalliram (26) from Tulsi Sarovar Colony.

They said that since the ladder was heavy, many of them were involved in lifting it when the accident happened.

The local administration has taken note of the incident and has expressed concern over the safety lapse.

Authorities have ordered a thorough investigation into the existing safety measures at the site to determine any negligence and prevent similar accidents in the future.
