    Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani are all set to make their Bollywood debut with Azaad, which also stars Ajay Devgn in a significant role. The actors have kickstarted the promotions of the film. Recently, they also visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple to seek blessings.

    Several photos and videos have surfaced in which Aaman and Rasha, along with director Abhishek Kapoor, are seen at the temple.

    In one of the photos, they are seen wearing garlands and they sported chandan tilak on their foreheads. The trio also headed for the enchanting and captivating – Ganga Aarti.

    Sharing their pictures on Instagram, Aaman wrote, “From watching the sunset over the Ganges, to Ganga Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Darshan – it was a day to remember ❤️💫” Take a look:

    Abhishek Kapoor, expressing his happiness, said, “I am very grateful to witness and perform the Ganga Aarti and seek blessings at Kashi Vishwanath. It feels like a complete circle for me – having done Kedarnath and now starting another chapter with Azaad, under Mahadev’s blessings.”

    Last week, the makers of Azaad released the film’s first song Birangay. It is an ultimate Holi anthem which introduces audiences to the fresh and energetic duo of Aaman and Rasha. The songs sets the mood for the festive season, showcasing the playful chemistry between the lead pair, with its amazing rhythm and desi vibe.

    While Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha plays a character from a royal family, actress Diana Penty will be seen playing the role of Ajay’s love interest in Azaad.

    Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, Azaad is scheduled to hit the big screens in January 2025.

    Thane man gives ‘triple talaq’ to wife, booked

    Thane: Police have registered a case against a man in Maharashtra’s Thane district for allegedly giving ‘triple talaq’ (instant divorce) to his wife, beating her up and harassing her for money, officials said on Monday.

    The 26-year-old woman, who resided with her husband’s family in Bhiwandi area here, in her police complaint alleged that she was subjected to harassment since March 2022, an official from Shanti Nagar police station said.

    She claimed her husband and his family members demanded Rs 50,000 from her as they were not given dowry for her marriage.

    The woman also alleged the accused beat her up by tying her hands and legs and threatened to kill her.

    She was subjected to mental and physical harassment, and her husband annulled the marriage through ‘triple talaq’, which was banned in 2019, the police said quoting the complaint.

    A case was registered on Saturday against the woman’s husband, his mother, two sisters and a brother-in-law under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.

    Bharti was a strong follower of Lord Krishna and had a deep love for visiting Vrindavan, a place she started visiting in 2004. Her devotion to Krishna grew so intense that she decided to dedicate herself entirely to him.

    As a result, she chose to retire from her service 10 years earlier than required. She expressed her desire to practice Krishna’s devotion, much like Meera Bai, the renowned saint and devotee of Krishna.

    SC notice to UP govt on bail plea by Azam Khan, son

    New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday sought response from the Uttar Pradesh government on a plea filed by former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan challenging an order of the Allahabad High Court denying them bail in a machine theft case.

    A bench of Justices M M Sundresh and Aravind Kumar issued notice to the state government and sought its reply.

    Khan and his son have moved the top court against the September 21 order of the high court.

    The criminal case was registered in 2022 against Khan, his son and five others alleging that they had stolen the road-cleaning machine, which was purchased by the Nagar Palika Parishad, Rampur district.

    It was further alleged that this machine was later recovered from Khan’s Jauhar University of Rampur.

    After the change of government in the state, a person named Wakar Ali Khan lodged an FIR in 2022 at Kotwali, Rampur against the seven persons.

    It was alleged in the FIR that they had in 2014 stolen the government’s road cleaning machine.

    Delhi air pollution: Amid deteriorating air quality, which has further plunged into ‘very poor’ category, the Delhi-NCR region has been hit by cold wave conditions since Sunday, with the mercury dropping to 5°C at 5:30 AM, down from 6°C on Sunday. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi surged to 345 at 7 AM today, higher than the previous day’s AQI of 246. Areas such as Bawana, Burari Crossing, Alipur, and Anand Vihar recorded AQI levels ranging from 350 to 397, indicating hazardous air quality.

    Deployment of Shelter homes

    To support homeless people during cold-wave conditions, the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) has established 235 pagoda tents to serve as night shelters. Many individuals have taken refuge in these facilities during the night. These shelter homes have been equipped with essential amenities, including medicines, meals, and ambulances.

    Meanwhile, a thick layer of smog blanketed several parts of Uttar Pradesh this morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has confirmed that Moradabad is experiencing a ‘cold wave’ with a minimum temperature of 8°C on Monday. These poor air quality, fluctuating temperatures, and fog continue to be a cause of concern for residents of the national capital, calling for effective measures to curb pollution and ensure proper shelter during winter.

    AQI Categories

    For context, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) categorizes AQI as follows: 0 to 50 is “good,” 51 to 100 is “satisfactory,” 101 to 200 is “moderate,” 201 to 300 is “poor,” 301 to 400 is “very poor,” and 401 to 500 is “severe”.

    Actions taken

    Previously, in consideration of the fluctuating weather conditions of the National capital, the Supreme Court permitted the relaxation of GRAP Stage IV restrictions in Delhi NCR to GRAP Stage II. However, GRAP Stages IV and III were revoked by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in the region with GRAP Stages II and I to continue to remain in force across Delhi NCR.

    The shares of the PC jewellers hit the opening bell at the day level of Rs 17.35 per share on the NSE (National Stock Exchange), The stock opened at the 0.40 per cent decline at Rs 17.35 per share.

    PC jewellers shares were currently locked at the upper circuit level of Rs 18.29 per share on the Indian bourses surging 4.99 per cent amounting to a Rs 0.87 per share on the bourses.

    Shareholders approved stock spilt

    Through a postal poll, shareholders approved the stock split on November 21. It must be put into effect within 45 days of the approval.

    PC Jeweller claims that the goal of the stock split is to increase the company’s share liquidity and affordability, which will motivate more retail investors to participate.

    Renowned singer Guru Randhawa grabbed eyeballs on Sunday night after he penned a cryptic note on his social media handle. The timing of his post raised eyebrows as it came in the midst of the ‘Punjab vs Panjab’ row, stirred by a post by Punjabi sensation, Diljit Dosanjh.

    For those unversed, Diljit stirred a controversy after he wrote the spelling of Punjab as ‘Panjab’ in his tweet announcing his Chandigarh concert. Netizens stated that the spelling of Punjab that was written by the singer is used by the Pakistani side for the region.

    Not just that, but netizens also noticed that while Diljit put a tricolour emoticon in all of his other concert posts, he skipped it in his ‘Panjab’ post.

    And while the singer was being criticised for the same, Guru Randhawan took to his X handle and without any explanation, wrote, “PUNJAB” along with a tricolour emoticon.

    While people assumed it to be Randhawa’s dig at Diljit, the High Rated Gabru singer did not reveal the reason behind penning the abrupt note.

    Meanwhile, Diljit is now in the final leg of his Dil-Luminati India tour, as he will be seen performing in Mumbai on December 19. He will conclude the tour on December 29 with a mega concert in Guwahati.

    The Dil-Luminati India tour courted several controversies, and it all began after Diljit was banned from singing songs mentioning alcohol and violence in certain states. The singer then challenged the authorities to ban the sale of liquor in the country, and vowed that if done so, he would never sing any song with the mention of alcohol in it.
