  • Pillars of Indias Naval Power

    Pillars of Indias Naval Power

Rambilli is a small coastal village located in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is situated near the city of Visakhapatnam and lies along the eastern coast of the country.

Rambilli’s INS Varsha and Karwar’s INS Seabird: Pillars of India’s Naval Power

India is making significant progress in strengthening its naval power with the near completion of INS Varsha, a modern underground base specially designed to house nuclear submarines. This advanced facility is being built near Rambilli in Andhra Pradesh and is expected to be ready for operation in the next two years. Once completed, it will play a key role in enhancing the country’s defense capabilities and ensuring better protection for its submarines.

Rambilli is a small coastal village located in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is situated near the city of Visakhapatnam and lies along the eastern coast of the country, facing the Bay of Bengal. Rambilli is gaining significance due to the construction of INS Varsha, a strategic naval base for India’s nuclear-powered submarines.

INS Varsha marks a major step in improving India’s naval capabilities. This base is built to host more than 12 nuclear-powered submarines, including the Arihant-class submarines that carry ballistic missiles, as well as the upcoming S5-class submarines.

This will greatly strengthen India’s ability to respond to nuclear threats and ensure a powerful backup strike option, both of which are key to the country’s security plans.

The underground base is built within natural land formations, which help keep it hidden and well-protected. This design makes it harder to detect and adds an extra layer of security for India’s most advanced naval equipment.

The location offers important strategic benefits, giving India an advantage in the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the larger Indo-Pacific region.

INS Varsha is not just a submarine base; it is an important strategic facility that helps strengthen India’s partnerships with its Quad allies – the United States, Japan, and Australia.

As India increases its security partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region, this base is expected to become a center for working together on projects, sharing technology, and planning maritime strategies with friendly countries that share similar goals.

The base’s modern features will allow India to extend its influence beyond its nearby seas, ensuring a strong presence in important shipping routes. It will also help India keep a check on the growing naval activities of China in the region.

Building INS Varsha has been a long and challenging process. The second phase of the project was delayed because of problems with acquiring land. However, in 2018, the Modi government sped up the construction work. Now, after six years, the base is almost finished.

This progress is happening as India works to strengthen its navy to deal with the increasing activities of China and Pakistan in the Indian Ocean region.

The Indian Navy is also working on modernizing its fleet by adding more Kalvari-class submarines, which are advanced and designed to strengthen India’s underwater defense capabilities.

“Karwar: The Strategic Stronghold of India’s Naval Power”

INS Seabird , located at Karwar  in Karnataka, is one of the largest naval bases in India and serves as a key facility for the Indian Navy. While it is a state-of-the-art base with modern infrastructure, it does not have the same kind of natural underground protection for submarines as INS Varsha at Rambilli.

INS Seabird is primarily designed to house surface ships, aircraft carriers, and other naval assets. However, it does have facilities for submarines, including berthing and maintenance, but these are not underground or naturally concealed. The base is strategically located and offers a secure harbor, but it lacks the natural topographical features, like hills and terrain, that make INS Varsha highly stealthy and secure for hosting nuclear-powered submarines.

In summary, while INS Seabird is advanced and plays a crucial role in India’s naval operations, it does not have the same natural stealth and underground facilities as INS Varsha.

A man was killed just four days after marrying a girl who loved her cousin in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar.

Gujarat Shocker: Woman plots murder, gets husband killed 4 days after wedding because she loves…

Gandhinagar: A shocking and terrifying incident has come to light from Gujarat where marital bliss turned fatal for an innocent man. The man was brutally killed just four days after his marriage. The deceased’s new wife, who loved her cousin, plotted the killing of her husband. According to police, Bhavik, who hails from Ahmedabad, tied the knot with Payal from Gandhinagar. He was kidnapped and killed four days after his marriage by three men. When police initiated the probe, they were shocked to know that Payal herself had plotted her husband’s murder along with her cousin Kalpesh. Payal was in love with Kalpesh before her marriage.

    How the Crime Unfolded

Bhavik visited Payal’s parents on Saturday to pick her up. When he did not arrived at his bride’s house on time. Payal’s father called up his family and informed them that Bhavik had not reached their place. Bhavik’s father told him that he left to pick Payal’s long ago. After the call, Payal’s family started searching for Bhavik.

While searching for Bhavik, the family members spotted a two-wheeler lying on road. the vehicle supposedly belonged to the man. While inquiring people, some eyewitnesses told the family members that he was by three men. As per eyewitnesses, the kidnappers first hit the victim’s vehicle with their SUV from behind and then they kidnapped him.

    Family Approached Police

Following the shocking incident, Payal’s family immediately reached out to the police. Catching wind of Bhavik’s disappearance just four days after he tied the knot set alarm bells ringing for law enforcement. Throughout the course of their exhaustive probe, they continually questioned Payal. Eventually crumbling under the relentless pressure, she confessed to her chilling role in plotting Bhavik’s kidnap and murder.

    The Arrest And Confession

Following Payal’s tip-off, the cops managed to hunt down and nab the trio involved in a heinous crime. The trio was then subjected to inquiry. It was during this questioning that Kalpesh, one of the trio, spilt the beans. He admitted to his and his accomplices’ crime of kidnapping Bhavik. They then strangled him in SUV, and later discarded his body in a canal flowing into the Narmada River. Cops said that Bhavik was actually en route to Payal’s parents’ place when she rang him up to confirm his exact location. The precise whereabouts shared by Bhavik were then passed on to Kalpesh by Payal.

The Bride’s Plan To Kill Her Husband

Payal confessed her love for Kalpesh, yet her parents forced her to marry Bhavik. This pushed her to plot the murder of her husband. Currently, she’s confined under police custody, and the main three suspects are already behind bars.

Charges of murder, complicity in carrying out murder, and abduction have been levelled against them under the relevant parts of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).

Further investigation into the case is underway.

Big worry for Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, as India’s DRDO develops hypersonic missile system that has ability to…

India’s DRDO, under its Project Dhvani, has developed not just one, but three state-of-the-art hypersonic missiles, which spell trouble for rival nations like China, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

    (File/Representational)

India Hypersonic Missile: In a major boost for India’s defence capabilities, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed not just one, but three state-of-the-art hypersonic missiles, which spell trouble for rival nations like China, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Notably, hypersonic missiles are considered the most advanced variants of missiles in the world today, and even military superpower like the United States struggles to manufacture them in bulk as they very expensive to make and require expertise.

    DRDO’s Project Dhvani

DRDO, the country’s premier defense research and development establishment, has developed these advanced hypersonic missiles under its Project Dhvani program.

According to various reports, India’s new Dhvani hypersonic missiles boast a range of over 1,500 kilometers, and can carry both conventional or nuclear warhead payloads. DRDO’s hypersonic technology is completely indigenous, which is a remarkable achievement as it makes India one of handful nations in the world which have indigenous technological ability and resources to build these advanced missiles.

The DRDO is reportedly working on three different variants of the hypersonic missiles under Project Dhvani, and has used a scramjet engine — the same engine which powers the BrahMos-II supersonic cruise missile system.

DRDO’s new hypersonic missiles will be inducted in all three of India’s armed forces — Army, Navy, and Air Force– providing a major boost to their offensive and defensive capabilities.

    Trouble for India’s rivals

India’s growing capabilities in developing its homegrown hypersonic missiles are a major challenge for its nations like Pakistan, China, and more recently, Bangladesh, as these missiles are almost impossible to track or intercept even with the most advanced  air defense systems. Notably, India had once mistakenly fired a BrahMos supersonic missile towards Pakistan and Islamabad had not been able to track it at the time.

    What are hypersonic missiles?

Hypersonic missiles, as the name suggests, can travel at hypersonic speeds of faster than Mach 5, and can reach speeds of up to Mach 25 or 25 times the speed of sound, which is 1,235 km/h. India’s new hypersonic missiles can travel at speeds of around 6,200 km/h or Mach 6 speeds and have the ability to strike enemy targets without being detected by radar.

Hypersonic missiles have several advantages over their less advanced cousins, mainly due to their express speed, which makes them almost impossible to detect and intercept with even the most advanced missile defense systems that are used today. Additionally, hypersonic missiles have the ability to maneuver during flight, making it impossible to predict their flight path. The only drawback is the high development cost and technological complexity required to build these advanced missiles.
