Senior Citizens Celebrate Republic Day Through Unique Celebrations At Aaji Care Sevak Foundation In Andheri; See Pics

Around 100 elderly people celebrated republic day at a special event organised by Samanwaya Senior Citizen Association and Aaji Care Sevak Foundation.

As the country celebrated the 76th Republic Day with patriotism and fervour, the senior citizens also joined the celebrations with a variety of events. The Samanwaya Sr. Citizen Association and Aaji Care Sevak Foundation celebrated the Republic Day at Samnwaya Centre, Andheri with around 100 elderly attendees.

Silver Young attendees in the age group of above 70 years presented patriotic cultural programs which included songs, play, quiz, dance and drawing. The elderly people celebrated the national festival in a very unique manner by drawing lines on a board while one of the senior citizen created sketched out of those lines.

Special attraction of the event was a patriotic song by 80 year old Radhika Hathi. Prakash Narayan Borgaonkar, CEO of Aaji Care Sevak Foundation, explained this year’s theme of their celebration to be ‘Swarnim Bharat – Virasat aur Vikas’. He also expressed his gratitude to all Silver Young members for presenting a beautiful and meaningful patriotic program and appealed the younger generation to continue this patriotic spirit.
