Delhi–Varanasi high-speed bullet train update: In a matter of good news for the residents of Noida, reports have confirmed that the Delhi–Varanasi high-speed bullet train will connect directly to Noida International Airport. Providing a massive connectivity boost for the residents of Delhi NCR and also the commuters who will be using the brand new Jewar Airport of Noida, the underground station at the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) will directly connect Noida to Delhi. How will Delhi–Varanasi high-speed bullet train connect Noida?

As per a report carried by Live Hindustan, an agreement has been finalized between National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHRCL) and NIAL for the station’s inclusion in the detailed project report. The report also says that two bullet train stations under the Delhi–Varanasi high-speed bullet train route will be built in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida Sector-148 and Jewar Airport (underground).

The report also says that once the Delhi–Varanasi high-speed bullet train route is completed, the 70 km journey from Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan to Noida Airport can be completed in just 21 minutes. More notably, the 816 km Delhi–Varanasi route will be completed in about 4 hours, cutting the current travel time between the two cities by more than half.

First international airport to connect with bullet train in India

As per media reports, the Jewar airport of Noida will become the first international airport to be directly connected by bullet train network in India. Also, work is underway to connect the Jewar airport to the metro, Namo Bharat Expressway, and other routes and highways, including the Yamuna, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Ganga Expressway, NH-34, 91, and Eastern Peripheral Expressway, further increasing the connectivity in the region and the state.
