YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has moved the Supreme Court, seeking protection from multiple FIRs filed against him over inappropriate remarks made during a recent episode of India’s Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina. His lawyer, Abhinav Chandrachud, has filed a petition requesting an urgent hearing, as the Assam Police has summoned him. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case within the next two to three days. A bench led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar acknowledged the request and assured that the plea would be scheduled soon.

Latest development in the Allahbadia row?
A team from Assam Police has reached Pune to serve a summons to comedian Samay Raina regarding a case linked to his now-deleted YouTube show, India’s Got Latent. The case, filed in Guwahati by a local resident, accuses the show of promoting obscenity. Raina, who owns a house in Balewadi, Pune, is among several individuals named in the complaint.
Others facing legal action include podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, comedian Jaspreet Singh, and content creator Apoorva Makhija. Apart from the Assam case, Allahbadia has been summoned by Mumbai Police to appear at the Khar police station and is also facing a separate complaint in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Cyber Department has registered a case under relevant sections of the IT Act and has called for the removal of all 18 episodes of the show, which Raina had already taken down from his channel.
