As Jey made his way to the ring to open Monday Night Raw, the crowd erupted in thunderous cheers, marking one of the biggest moments in his career. The Bloodline star basked in the support, joining the fans in his signature “Yeet” chant, which commentators and the live audience excitedly echoed.
Even after his entrance music stopped, the crowd demanded more, chanting “One more time” before shifting to a heartfelt “You deserve it” chant. Overcome with gratitude, Jey acknowledged the support before being interrupted by Gunther.
Gunther Disrespects Jey, But Uso Stands His Ground
The World Heavyweight Champion, clearly unimpressed, mocked Jey’s victory, calling it an embarrassment. Gunther claimed that Jey wasn’t even worthy of cleaning his boots, insisting that a WrestleMania match against Cena, Reigns, or Punk would have been far more prestigious for his career. He then urged Jey to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship instead, dismissing him as an unworthy contender.
Jey, however, refused to be disrespected any longer. He fired back, stating that no one had the right to decide his worth, whether as a singles competitor, a Royal Rumble winner, or a future world champion. He then declared his intention to meet Cody Rhodes on SmackDown before making his final WrestleMania decision. No matter who his opponent would be, Jey Uso made one thing clear—he’s walking out of WrestleMania as the new world champion.
