Dr Kruthika Reddy was allegedly killed by her husband, Mahendra Reddy. They worked at the Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru.
A bizarre incident has come to light in Bengaluru. A husband allegedly sent a message, ‘I killed my wife for you,’ to another woman. The message was shared through a digital payment application. Speculations are increasing that the husband allegedly had an affair with the woman he had sent the message to about killing his wife. What’s even more shocking is that the couple worked at the same hospital in Bengaluru and got married last year on May 26. The Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has also given an official announcement on the same.
Investigation so far
The accused husband’s name is Dr Mahendra Reddy. He was arrested after six months for allegedly having overdosed his wife. The wife’s name is Dr Kruthika Reddy. She was drugged using an anaesthetic. The officials mentioned that she was brought to the hospital by her husband and was declared ‘dead’. The case dates back to April 21 of this year.
What are the officials saying?
During the investigation of the Bengaluru murder, the report of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) validated the usage of the strong anaesthetic drug propofol. It was found in the organs of the victim. The further investigation revealed the presence of a cannula set and an injection tube at the house.
Later, the father of the victim filed a complaint against his son-in-law. In addition, the woman’s identity to whom the message was sent remains undisclosed. According to the police, her statement has been recorded.
The Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said that the collected evidence so far points to the husband’s role in committing the crime because he brought the wife to the hospital without mentioning anything that could have gone wrong. He further made claims that her health condition was not good, as a result of which, she was undergoing treatment. He also stated that the woman was injected with some sedatives, pointing to the harmful intention.
